Upper Beeding Parish Council has been approached by the village of Livré-sur-Changeon in Brittany, France, with a suggestion that the villages twin.

The council viewed this proposal with favour. We realised, however, that any decision to go along this route is very much a matter for the community as a whole, not merely the council. We therefore put it to the Annual Parish Meeting in April 2016, and invited representatives of the Twinning Committee at Livré to attend and make a presentation, which was well received by the meeting.

The next stage is the creation of a Twinning Committee. We would be very grateful if anybody interested in joining this committee would get in touch with the Chairman or the clerk.

The Livré website contains a great deal of useful information on the village and their proposals. Please click here to view it.
